Privacy Policy
Running Cadence works without creating an account. Session settings, trial state and current session state are stored on your devices and synchronized between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple system frameworks.
Information stored on your devices
Running Cadence stores your selected target cadence, planned session duration, provisional haptic strategy, local trial usage, purchase entitlement state and active-session state locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Running Cadence does not operate a proprietary account system or custom backend for this information.
Apple Watch synchronization
Running Cadence exchanges configuration, trial and entitlement state between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch using WatchConnectivity. Delivery depends on Apple services, connectivity and device configuration.
HealthKit and workout sessions
The Apple Watch app requests permission to start a minimal running workout session so rhythmic guidance can continue when your wrist is lowered or the app is in the background. Running Cadence does not read HealthKit data. It does not request or use your route, location, heart rate, pace, distance or energy data, and it does not send HealthKit data to Amplitude, RevenueCat or any advertising service. You can manage Health permissions in Apple’s Health app or device settings.
Analytics
Running Cadence uses Amplitude to understand aggregate product usage and reliability. Events may include onboarding completion, whether the Watch app is detected, haptic previews, coarse planned-duration buckets, the provisional cue-pattern category, session starts, pauses, resumptions and completion categories, trial status, paywall views, and purchase or restore outcomes. Amplitude may process a pseudonymous installation or device identifier, event timestamps, IP address and related technical information under its own terms. Running Cadence does not intentionally send exact cadence, exact elapsed duration, HealthKit data, route or location, free text, names, email addresses or persistent session identifiers to analytics. The configured Amplitude project uses United States infrastructure.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. Running Cadence uses RevenueCat to retrieve the lifetime product offering and determine whether Running Cadence Pro is active. RevenueCat may process purchase status, product identifiers, app-user identifiers and related technical information. Running Cadence does not receive or store payment-card details.
Tracking and advertising
Running Cadence does not display third-party advertising and does not sell personal information. It does not use HealthKit information for advertising, data brokerage or marketing.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains until you remove the app or erase its data. Reinstalling may reset the installation-local trial. Analytics and purchase-service records are retained according to Amplitude’s, RevenueCat’s and Apple’s applicable policies and legal obligations. To request assistance with analytics data associated with your installation, contact us using the address below; we may need technical information from your device to locate the relevant record.
Children
Running Cadence is a general-audience fitness utility and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy when Running Cadence’s features, data practices or service providers change. The current version will remain available at this URL with its effective date.
