Minimal workout access

Running Cadence requests the minimum HealthKit workout permission needed to keep wrist guidance active when the display is lowered or the app moves to the background.

What the app does

It starts and ends a minimal running workout session while cadence guidance is active. This lets watchOS give the session the background execution behavior required for reliable guidance.

What the app does not collect

Running Cadence does not read or store your route, location, heart rate, pace, distance, energy, medical records or other HealthKit samples. Health data is never sent to Amplitude, RevenueCat or an advertising service.

Managing permission

You can review or revoke access from the Health app or system Settings. Without workout permission, background and wrist-down guidance may not work reliably.

Analytics and purchases

Privacy-allowlisted product events help us understand whether sessions start, complete and lead to a purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple and entitlement status is handled by RevenueCat. See the full Privacy Policy.
